Public Mural Proposal for Marta Peachtree Center Station

In an ever-evolving and fast-paced city like Atlanta, technology and the digital world are constantly intertwining and growing with the city. In contrast, Atlanta is one of the most nature filled cities in the US, with greenery being such a core part of the city’s identity and life.

I wanted to combine both, a tongue-in-cheek reference to digitalization and pixelation, and the use of emojis and glyphs in our communication, with recolors of the beautiful flowers I walk by everyday on my way to university. I also wanted to use very bright colors, to symbolize a pride and joy, intertwined with the resilience of the citizens of Atlanta. With the placement of the flowers and graphics, the building itself almost becomes like a digital windowsill.
